Dr
Zaius

Keyboards & Programming - John Goodall
Written, arranged, performed, engineered & produced by John
Goodall.
This track was
thrown together one quiet summer evening at the studio back in 1997.
Quite a spontaneous piece, everything was played live into a sequencer
and the backing parts tidied up afterwards.
Dr Zaius
is really just a collection of ideas rather than a piece in its
own right but I think some of it works - who knows, maybe at a later
date I'll revisit some of these sections and see if I can expand
upon them...
All credit must
go to the Lexicon 224 and the Joe Meek SC2, essential studio equipment.
Other equipment used on this track included the trusty Korg 01/W,
a Roland D70 and an Alesis D4. This tune was inspired by the Maurice
Evans character, Dr Zaius from The Planet of the Apes.
"Man
has no understanding, he can be taught a few simple tricks, that's
all..."
