The Naming

The rhythm to Power And War's fundamental riff is derived from the Morse code for 'Power And War', simplified to help the band remember how to play it! With complete disregard for The Naming's typical writing methods, the guitar and keyboard solos for this song were one-take improvisations. 'Sun King' from the same sessions can be found on the 1st AMY CD, 'Cyberian Khatru'

biography

The Naming were formed several years ago and spent some time emptying pubs of their audiences. After a brief hiatus John joined the band on keyboards and along with Neil revisited The Naming back catalogue, adding keyboard parts, replacing guitar, vocal, bass and drum parts, rearranging some songs and completing others.

The Naming are based at No Machine Studios in Wokingham, Berkshire, UK
